Infographic: Just how big is the online display advertising landscape in India?

A young mobile population with rising income levels and growing online penetration makes India a lucrative online market. In line with this, online advertising has seen a healthy growth pattern in the last few years. An indication of this comes in the fact that in the last quarter, more than 96 billion ad impressions were delivered across India’s websites.

According to Ad Metrix, a recently launched service from comScore in India, there were more than 3900 advertisers who ran online ad campaigns in Sep 2013. On an average, each online Indian was exposed to more than 395 ads in the last month. Social Media and portals continue to get the highest ad impressions.

Ad Metrix is a competitive intelligence tool that allows agencies, advertisers and publishers to quantify and evaluate the overall display advertising landscape.
